reporting services error
Hi all.
i did a new SQL 2012 Installation,
we moved the old database from the old server to the new one and everything is working great
I've installed report services as well (we didn't use it in the old server)
When i'm connecting trough web everything works fine
but when i'm trying to connect to the reporting services from the management studio only me user can connect to it
all other users getting : the reporting services instance could not be found
If I'm trying to login from the local server everything works fine for all other users as well, any suggestion?

SQL 2016 reports service prompt server credential before view reports
When I try to view SQL 2016 report service reports through my Asp.net mvc application it is prompt server credential before display the report. If I do not apply credentials then report not get display.

Saving Report Parameters into sharepoint list from SSRS report
Hi All,
We have a weird requirement from our client to save selected parameter values as template and use the template instead of selecting each parameters in next time while viewing reports. Pls see below,
Data is stored/read from share point list.
Template: <Template_2016_R1>
Parameters: Year<2016 > Period<Q1, Q2> Region <US,UK,Mexico>BusinessLine <ALL>
Values in square brackets indicates current selection based on Template_2016_R1 existing template.
Initially, all existing templates will be loaded into parameter "Template", if user selects existing template then all parameters i.e. Year, period, region and business will be set. if template is not selected then user is allowed to choose new set of selection and that new selection of parameters are stored/saved as a template. Like wise there might be N number of templates can be stored.
Pls note the we do not have RDBMS database for this, instead SharePoint 2013 Lists are used.
Any help to achieve this is greatly appreciated.

Q1. If we want to use SSRS is Data warehouse database mandatory ? Or Can we generate reports on Production Databse Directly?
What type of Scenario most follow in Enterprise application?
Q2. How to delivery reports to end user?
Through web url or any application ? and which is most used case?
Is it sufficient provide web url only?

Error load data from shared dataset reporting services to Mobile Reports

1- I am trying load data from my shared dataset but, when I click in dataset, the load is not working. If I select data preview in web portal the datas from dataset are showed, just when I try load from Mobile Report is not working

Mobile Reports - Shared Dataset - Critical failure if you Delete and Redeploy Shared Dataset
We are currently finishing two mobile reports. So far we have accepted the limitations as a positive, but the following will be a show stopper (i.e. we will cease developing / deploying reports) if it's not fixed or a work around defined.
Apparently, if you:
- Deploy a shared dataset.
- Build a mobile report off this dataset.
- Deploy the mobile report.
- Delete and redeploy the shared dataset, you get the following:
"Could not load mobile report
The report may be misconfigured, the data may not be available, or the server version may be unsupported.
OK (button)"
Now when going into the Mobile Report Publisher, you get the following:
"An error has occurred
Sorry for the inconvenience, but an error has occurred. If the problem persists, please restart the application.
Close (button)"
Granted, one can navigate in Mobile Report Publisher to the Data and Datasets; however, the "Refresh" option is useless.
I can always add the same Shared Dataset a second time, but it will be named with a "2" at the end.
All that's left is just to switch all the related objects to this new Dataset, except this is PAINFUL if you have any data grids or filtering set up. This is time consuming, open to errors, and most importantly, after you are done with your current development,
testing, and release cycle, there is no guarantee that the original Dataset will be available 6 months down the road in the same location with the same name. Which means you have to recreate the same report a second time, even for a minor change.
Now reading this post / link: at social msdn microsoft titled "ssrs-2016-mobile-reports-deployment-issue?forum=sqlreportingservices"
I am guessing that the Shared Dataset has a unique GUID value. Once deleted and redeployed, a new GUID value is assigned.
It's this GUID value that is saved in the Mobile Report, thus causing the problem.
Here are my questions:
1. Is this a known issue and when will it be fixed? Seems to me that being able to refresh within Mobile Report Publisher as long as it's pointing to a Shared Dataset that is in the same location with the same name would be standard.
2. Is there a way to get into the .RSMOBILE file, seek out the GUID value and modify it externally?

Checkbox to select all subscriptions
Quick question.
We're trying to migrate to sql 2016 ssrs. (installed Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Version 2015.0130.1601.05 ((SQL16_RTM).160429-2226))
There used to be a way to select *all* visible subscriptions in the "manage subscriptions" screen and perform a bulk operation (eg delete all of them at once.) For some reason that checkbox isn't working for us in the new, totally redesigned U/I. It will allow unselecting all items but it won't allow *selecting* all items.
Can someone verify whether or not that checkbox works for you in SQL 2016?

We have SQL 2012 and SSRS configured on Production server.
We have opened firewall to access the Reporting Services URL from a client machine.
For the Client User is a domain account which is a member of a custom SSRS role having the following two privilleges :
- View Reports
- View Folders.
We have made this domain account a member of "RSExecRole" in ReportServer and Report ServerTemp databases.
Still when the user is trying to connect he is getting the following error message
"An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)

Permissions of "system administrator" not recognized/accepted
Hello everyone,
since yesterday I try to learn new SSRS. I have HyperV-Computer with Windows Server 2016 and SQL Server 2016 with CU1 installed. When I try to change or create anything in the "Report Manager", I get an error message:
It is in German and says "There is an error. You dont have sufficient permissions for this action. Contact your Administrator to get required permissions".
My user belongs lo local Administrators on that PC, local Administrators are also "System Administrators" in SSRS. I'm not a newbie in SSRS, I tried all possible things like starting IE as Administrator, installing updates, etc. Nothing worked. Does anyone have an idea?

Scaling in SSRS bullet charts

In the below chart as you can see development grey range is going till 348.9 and testing until 388.4.
Still the scales are aligned.
I have given the dynamic scaling end range at scale value as:

SSRS Subscription ERROR: Software Usage Metrics initialize failed
I am using SQL 2016 Reporting services and everything is on the local machine, no outside server is involved.
The Report Server Configuration is setup to use Integrated Security and this is a simple test taken from a MS tutorial for creating a subscription.
The Log file has the following errors and I tried to strip them down a bit so it would be a little easier to read, hopefully.
The first error is this one, Registering SQL Server 2016:

First execution of a report (rdlc) very slow in ASP.NET MVC in Azure App Service
Good Morning.
We have developed an application in ASP.NET MVC and deployed in Azure (App Service) which includes rdlc reporting. The first time a report is generated and rendered takes 10-15 seconds; after the first execution the time varies between 1 and 3 seconds. The
reports are simple and usually have one or two sheets.
We have found additional information stating that this is due to the way SSRS works:
"SSRS regularly restarts the domain of the application after a specific period (default, 720 minutes)".
This behavior can be modified by incrementing the value of the RecycleTime parameter in rsreportserver.config.
The question is whether you can update this value through some parameter in the Azure App Service or through the web.config file.
