It appears that our production installation of SSRS is authenticating against a specific domain controller.
We recently virtualized our domain controllers from Windows Server 2003 to Window Server 2012. SSRS was working fine until we turned off the old domain controller. We get 401 Unauthorized errors in applications that use the instance of SSRS, and we can't add valid domain users to Security Settings in Report Manager (we always get an error indicating, "The user or group name 'xxx' is not recognized. (rsUnknownUserName)").
Looking at the Security Settings in Report Manager, I also notice a large number of Groups/Users disappear when the old domain controller is turned off .Once the old domain controller is turned back on, those users reappear and we are again able to add valid domain users to Users/Groups.
I've spent a lot of time on this, with little success. Any help is sincerely appreciated.
