Quite simply, I'm trying to configure SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 R2 to read from an Excel 2010 file in SharePoint 2010. I've found lots of references to this, but nothing very straightforward.
The most promising solution seemed to be exporting the Excel data to a SharePoint list. And indeed this works well. But when it comes time to update the spreadsheet and re-export, Excel will neither update nor overwrite the existing SharePoint list. So I would have to impose on the user the likes of first deleting the SharePoint list and then exporting it all over again with the same name. Very cumbersome.
Can someone think of an easier way? Thanks.
