Using SSRS on SQL server 2008 R2 ( Standard edition) 64 bit. I have System Administrator and Content Manager roles.
My report takes 30 to 50 seconds to load despite taking all these measures. The sql is optimized, has indexes. The sub-report data set loads based on 'show_report' parameter. The report loads only 15 rows per page and keep together' property is set to false. The report takes user id as a parameter value and loads the data assigned to the user.
My data refreshes nightly, so I set processing option as "<label for="ui_btnLive">Always run this report with the most recent data" and </label>
<label for="ui_btnScheduledExpiration">"Cache a temporary copy of the report. Expire copy of report on the following schedule: set to refresh every morning at 5 am"</label> <label for="ui_btnScheduledExpiration">Now the report for each user id takes 30- 50 sec for the first load but 0 sec for any further load. </label> <label for="ui_btnScheduledExpiration">I want do a cache refresh every morning after the cache expire, but i only have two options for report delivery on the subscription tab: </label> <label for="ui_btnScheduledExpiration">email and windows file share. I do not have 'null delivery' options that I saw in many articles online, as I don't have Enterprise Edition.</label> <label for="ui_btnScheduledExpiration">What can I do to refresh cache without each user actually loading the report?</label> <label for="ui_btnScheduledExpiration">Will it refresh cache if i run a subscription every morning using 'Windows File share' delivery option and default parameter (which is all the user ids)?</label> <label for="ui_btnScheduledExpiration">What is the best option for this scenario for ssrs on SQL server 2008 R2 ( Standard edition)?</label> | ![]() |
