Local Logon Permissions Still required in 2012?

I use SSRS 2008 R2 with SharePoint 2010.

One of the biggest annoyances of using SSRS is that when you create connections with windows credentials those credentials must have local login permissions. otherwise the datasource will not get created.

obviously this is a headache for me (as a sharepoint admin).

I have heard that in SQL 2012, SSRS is a fully integrated service application and therefore should be able to use the secure store service of SharePoint for creating connections.

Is it possible? does it still have the same limitation of local logon permissions on the SSRS box?
