Unable connect the SSAS Tabular Server with Alias name

Hi All,

We have create the network alias (cname) for the tabular server and trying to connect in the SSRS using connection string in data source and getting following error message.

The connection either timed out or was lost. [Connection string Data Source=Alias name;Initial Catalog=xxx] however if we specify the tabular sever name it works.

The SSRS and SSAS were different machine.

Could you please throw some insight/resolution on the same.
