report seems to save as "Legal"

Hi.  We run ssrs std 2008.

I've put together a main report that runs about 20 sub reports permutated with different parameters across 7 reports.

When I run the 7 reports individually, save to word and print, I see entire reports on 8.5 x 11.

Two of these (both tablix, one with 3 tablixes side by side, the other with just one tablix) issue a warning that "the margins of section 1 are outside the printable area of the page.  Do you want to contine?"  I reply yes and one prints upright, the other prints landscape.  The one that prints landscape loses its heading contained in a text box, in a rectangle in the top row of a tablix..

When I run the main report, then save, it appears to be saving in Legal paper size.  When I print the latter most subreports get cut off on the left printing to 8.5 x 11 paper.   One nuance is that my pie chart report is "2 up" twice in the main report followed by "1 up" but the report width on this is only 3.5 inches with 0 inches on left and right margins.

Is there a way to salvage this main report?
